Price calculator
How the fare is calculated
Fare = start price + price per km × route km + price per minute × driving minutes, at least the lowest fare. Total = fare.
Example price plan, Linz
| Item | Small | Medium | Large |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start price | €15.99 | €20.99 | €29.99 |
| Per km | €1.20 | €1.50 | €1.90 |
| Per minute of driving | €0.30 | €0.35 | €0.45 |
| Lowest fare | €25.99 | €35.99 | €49.99 |
| Waiting, per minute after the free minutes | €0.40 | €0.50 | €0.60 |
For every size
- Free waiting: 15 minutes at pickup and again at drop-off
- Cancellation fee: €10.00, if you cancel more than 2 minutes after a driver accepted, or if the driver waits at pickup in vain. Before that, cancelling is free.
Example: 10 km, 20 minutes driving
| Small | Medium | Large |
|---|---|---|
| €33.99 | €42.99 | €57.99 |
Without waiting time. The app shows the price for your route.
A detour or a longer route does not change the fare. When you book, the total plus 30 % for possible waiting time is reserved on your card; only the final price is charged.
For drivers: Portovan keeps 23 % of the fare; the rest is the driver’s earning, shown on every offer.
Prices in euros. Whether and how VAT is shown is still being checked.
